About The Kevin G. England & Rhodora A. Cardinez Family Tree

Dear Friend or Family,

Welcome to my page! I've always loved history, and I've always been curious of-not only my own origins, but of the many connections we have to each other, across nations, and throughout time to the very beginnings. My family was somewhat separated by the premature death of my father, Gerald, in 1972 (and my mother moved us out West to California from Alabama). I've built on years of interviewing my oldest relatives, culling information from booklets from family reunions, as well as scouring libraries from Northeast Alabama State College, to California State University, Long Beach. An essential resource throughout has been the book, "The Clays of Alabama: A Planter, Lawyer, Politician Family," which I've read from cover-to-cover. I've also connected with a cousin diligently working on our American connections. It has been easy to connect with many others after I established overlapping connections to Charlemagne--and I've found this to be pretty common, as some regard him as the ancestor to "everyone in the West." Following from that, I've connected with several through Facebook, and it's been fun to find where our lines converge. You can e-mail me at Kevinengland7@gmail.com if you're interested. Despite hard work, I have many gaps and there are many recent relatives (even living) that remain nameless. If you knew my family in Alabama and Tennessee (or literally "are"), and would like to help me fill in the blanks, please contact me (and also, if you have pictures to share).

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
